Around 2005 I started getting a few phone calls from
'Army
Buddies' that played in both the 52nd Army Band in
Fort Ord California! ... and in the 79th Army Band in The Canal Zone,
Panama. I'll be very honest with you, I
was so excited and overjoyed at hearing from Army friends dating back
to 1964 through 1966! And when we shared the memories on the phone we just laughed and laughed when all of us were in our early 20s. We were so young and just
having fun while doing our military duty in the Army band; and touring in
both central and south America ... and so fortunate to be there
also, that is considering the Vietnam conflict back then.
ARMY BAND REUNION: It was just a weekend meeting and a 2009 Army Band Reunion at a beautiful Orlando resort, however, we ate a lot and didn't do much swimming or girl-watching, still, we shared so many moments and unforgettable stories together that they will last a lifetime for me. Thanks to Gene Ledesma and Bob Blaurock for all the great pictures they sent to me here in Phoenix Arizona. This link would not have been possible without their help and assistance. Also, many thanks to all of you for attending and making it happen in Orlando; not only for me, but for all of us that were there present. It is my deepest and sincere wish that we meet again this year in either Orlando or Washington DC.
