For many years in both Texas and California - and now Phoenix AZ!  - I've been involved in playing music and promoting talent from established artists to young and aspiring new singers. There is SO MUCH TALENT OUT THERE in our own music world yet undiscovered and untapped, and sadly so hard for them to be heard with their own 'live' performances, on the radio, and even on Internet radio at times. This link at TEJANOmike dot com, 'is here to lend a helping hand to all of you' ... at times, that's all we need to be seen and heard by other producers and promoters that visit this link, or visit your respective links.

I also hope to bring some attention to Tejano Music and bring a new generation of Tejano Music listeners with my music. I can mail you a press kit as well I just need an address to get it to you! Thank you once again for all you do for Tejano Music and all you have done for me!

Yvette Gonzalez was born in Tucson Arizona on September 18, 1977 and raised in the border town of Nogales Arizona. She started singing at the age of three and throughout the years became an accomplished musician whereby she learned to play the violin, piano and the organ.

Yvette is also an aspiring actress. Yvette's voice has been showcased throughout Arizona where she has performed for many political, public safety, educational, and city dignitaries throughout the years.

She is most famous for her rendition of the National Anthem, which she proudly sings at numerous charitable fundraisers and sporting events all over the State of Arizona.

Yvette is also a member of Mariachi International de America de Gilberto Velez. Yvette's vocal talents, however, do not limit her ability to sing mariachi music. She sings country, pop, r &b, jazz, tejano, and Latin pieces. She has also been featured on Idol Insiders for FOX 11, American Idol Season 5 (Finalist Las Vegas & Hollywood), Sabado Gigante with Don Francisco, and Juan Gabriel's Concierto 25 Anos.

On a local level, Yvette's talents have been showcased in the book Ambos Nogales', Sunnyside High School's 7th Annual Noche de Las Estrellas, Baja Spa Jingle Singer, Jim Click's Sabado Fiestas, the Tucson International Mariachi Conference, and Proyecto Nuevo Talento 1995. Jesse Hernandez ... I have designed a book for kids, adults, or anyone interested in learning how to read and write music. The book is called, "Learn To Read Music" ... for the beginner to the advanced student with Chuy's Academy of Music. It's about learning to read and write music in both the Treble and the Bass clef. The book will also include a CD. The student can learn by reading the book or by using the CD. The book will retail for $17.00 each and I have included about 20 lessons.

My other new book called, "The Latino Showcase Yearbook", will include over 200 bios on many different artists: International, conjunto, tejano, fallen artists, norteño, mariachi singers, plus many more. I want to distribute this yearbook nationwide and will have a hard cover like the high school yearbooks you have seen before. This book will sale for about $30.00 each, sold within music stores that sell CDs and DVDs nationwide. For more information on these two new books, call Jesse at 512.669.5030 or 512.779.0562.

NATIONAL PURO CONJUNTO MUSIC ASSOCIATION As we began to think about our dream for conjunto music, we realized that we needed help. We have formed a non-profit 501c3 organization which is dedicated to the preservation of conjunto music through education, special events, recognition programs, recording of the old songs by the remaining old-time great musicians and memberships in the organization. You too can be a member of NPCMA. Details to come. Check out our website in progress. http://www.npcma.org

Michael Gallegos  I'm a singer/songwriter from Reno, NV. My first CD is all in Spanish and is almost complete. I plan on going out performing solo this summer to promote my music. I play English and Spanish songs in the style of Tex-Mex. My song 'Dame Un Beso' has received a lot of airplay here in Reno, but I would really love to send it to Texas to see how well it does there. michaelg103@ sbcglobal.net

RACHEL, Austin Texas: Hello, I was born in Texas and raised in a small town called Rogers. I starting singing since I was small and knew that I was destined to be on stage performing 'live' ... growing up I started performing on such events as weddings, funerals, church events and gatherings. Singing and performing in front of a crowd gives me an indescribable feeling. "I feel I can achieve anything when I'm on stage! Being under the lights, loud music and screams from the crowd gives me more motivation to continue in my career!"

I am currently working on the remainder of songs to be released on my first Tejano CD along with another R&B CD project. "Being able to share my music with the public is so special!" I want to be a role model for many Latinos and children who sometimes feel that they can't be something more. Some day I want to be remembered not only as a singer, but as a talented and caring person who tried her best to fulfill her dreams and inspire others to follow theirs!
